Kings Without Land takes viewers on a deep dive into New York City's historic migration crisis at a time when immigration is at an all-time high and one of the top concerns of the U.S. population
Multimedia storyteller Sebastian Sele follows asylum seekers he met outside one of the city's largest emergency shelters – six tents on remote Randall's Island – in their first months and years in the United States.
Kings Without Land was developed and exhibited at the International Center of Photography, featured in The New York Times, shortlisted at the Italian Festival of Ethical Photography, and a finalist for "Best Digital News Story" at Visa Pour l'Image in France.

Concept, content, and storyline by multimedia storyteller Sebastian Sele, whose work has been featured in The New York Times, Stern, and ZEIT, among others. Sebastian led the editorial team of VICE Switzerland and is a graduate of the International Center of Photography.
